Can the Triple Morph Filter Oscillate?

Can the Triple Morph Filter Oscillate?

2008-10-03 by derwskee

Can't seem to get the Bandwith high enough to get either A B or C to
oscillate. Would like to so I can use the morphing output of one to FM
modulate one of the other nodes C->A etc. Any ideas?

You can patch an output back to an input, but out of the box, the 291e doesn't self oscillate.

i really would like to hear a pure 291e file like eb's:

"here's some raw 261e staz, real quick, for fun...
http://music.calarts.edu/~ebuchla/mp3/ttwwoossiixxoonnee.mp3<http://music.calarts.edu/%7Eebuchla/mp3/ttwwoossiixxoonnee.mp3>"

or vgermuse's:

i am very interested in hearing FM capabilities of 291e.

I uploaded a file demonstrating the oscillation capabilities of the
291e. The file is entitled 20081004_291_osc.mp3. You'll find it in
the file section of this group.

That is an interesting patch: can you provide some insight on how you
had the module patched...audio and cv please?? Thanks!

Andrew

Here are the key configurations of the patch:

1. filterA output is patched to filterA input.
2. Bandwith of filterA is 100
3. "All" output is patched to 292e
4. morph stages (1-8) are all set to pulse.
5. unique FREQ settings for each stage of filterA creates sequence
6. 281e set to cycle mode provides envelope for 292e
7. 281e pulse output to update morph stage.

That is all there is to it. I think it was suggested by someone else
at one point that the 291e is practically a self contained instrument.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
