I wonder about user's impressions of the 259e's various transfer functions.
Are the green tables subjectively more predictable and less intense? (I
would imagine so, as they're all combinations of chebyshev polynomials,
giving them limited band width) Also they are maximally efficient in terms
of signal power from voltage swing, so maybe they seem louder? or at least
more even in loudness from one to the other?

the red tables seem grittier/wilder to me. I don't know much about the
thought behind them.

what are everyones subjective impressions of the various transfer functions?
favorite tables?
I like the lumpy way the red 5 and 6 build up, those stand out to me. I
noticed with these two tables and no others you can get pretty real noise
with pitch track and FM and sync all at once.

has anyone written tables of their own?

looking at green 1 and red 1 on a scope I think they are the same sine
wave form. That way you can transfer between ANY of the other
green/red waves and a sine.
