I'm sure a lot of you must have seen this already, but here is a 150-minute video of a Red Bull Music Academy interview with Don Buchla. I'm only just starting to watch it , but it begins with Buchla discussing the early days of developing his first synth, and being a part of the counterculture scene. He doesn't seem like the most willing interview subject, but the discussion is interesting and feels like an unedited documentary interview.

On the other hand, a documentary on Buchla instruments going back to Subotnick and his bent radios might be a worthwhile subject. If you think about it, personality cults that group around an instrument builder rather than the instrument are kind of silly.
