200e cabinets as carry on in flights?

200e cabinets as carry on in flights?

2009-10-13 by carlosbecker

Wondering if anyone here has brought their 200e system into a plane as carry on with our without the shipping case.

looking at the official carry on dimensions on the site it seems like the 12 space cabinet shipping case falls outside of carry-on range just by a few inches in one of the dimensions so it might be just ok.

you can probably find precise dimensions for each carrier online but i seriously doubt you can fit the case into an overhead bin, 12 or 18 version. i just flew into france/italy yesterday so the space is pretty fresh in my mind.

i wonder if shipping it is better than taking in on an airplane. either way, i'd probably use a more heavy duty flight case, that's a whole lot of money in that box.

yeah Joe , i am afraid...i always had to check it in.
You might be able to bring the 12 cabinet without the carrying case,
but i wouldn't do that.

My systems are insured for traveling, so that's not as bad as you
would think.

I have been lucky checking mine in so far, the only bad thing that
happened once was that one of the cables connecting the boats came
unplugged, so one row wasn't turning on
.Needless to say i pooped in my pants a little, but i was able to fix
it right away.
