Can anyone suggest a basic method for getting some sound out of the 222e? simple patches? setting the menu?

Some hints from Jon:
on the 222e press the "page" key until you get to the "radio" menu.
make sure the "Radio" parameter is set to 6.
use the cursor button to move over to the key assignment parameter
("ky"). turn the data knob so that "ky" now reads "KY"; this is the
mode in which you assign keys to a given channel. now select 4 or 5
keys on the keyboard. they will light up when you select them. with
these selected turn the data knob again so that "KY" reads "ky".
to program values to these keys use the cursor button to get to the
"CV1" parameter. now press one of the keys you assigned to this radio
group in the previous step. the value of the "CV1" parameter is the
output voltage in .01 volt increments. because of the 1.2 volt/octave
scaling of the 200e it's simple to program "traditional" scales.
for instance, to program a major scale you'd use the following values:
0
20
40
50
70
90
110
120
so you can see a difference of 120 is an octave, 70 is a fifth, 40 is
a major third.
assuming you have 4 keys assigned to radio 6, you can program a simple
arpeggio. press the first key, then turn the data knob so that the cv
value is 0. press the next key and turn the data knob to 40. press the
third key and turn the data knob to 70. press the fourth key and turn
the data knob to 120.
now, patch the cv out from radio 6 into an oscillator's cv input. make
sure the input is turned all the way to the right. patch the pulse
output from the same radio channel to a 281e trigger input and set the
281e to sustain mode (the third light down). patch the 281e output to
a 292e input channel (this is easy with the black shorting bars you
were provided). patch the oscillator's audio output into the input of
the 292e channel and patch the output into your 227e.
now you should be able to play your arpeggio.
keep in mind that you have 3 more channels of the 222e to use; you can
assign keys arbitrarily to these groups. you can also configure a
single group and make a polyphonic patch by selecting the appropriate
polyphony option from the 222e menu page.
