my programmable pulser
2007-05-07 by Mark Verbos
Hi there, As some of you know, I built a custom programmable pulser for Reed and myself. It's based on the core of the 246 with 6 rows of 16 switches insted of pots. That's cool because it allows any stage to be the start and any to be the end. Each stage has a pulse in, a pulse out and 6 switches. There is a pulse in to step it along and an analog in to sweep it from voltage. Each pulse out also has an LED showing it's status. It's designed to fit into a Buchla cabinet and work with Buchla 100, 200 or 200e modules modules. You can see it here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/markverbos/389463173/ Anyway, originally I thought it was cool to just make 2 (one for Reed and one for me), but now I'm thinking I'll make one for anyone who wants one. If anyone wants me to build one for them, please shoot me an email. I'm also cooking up a shift register/quantizer module and a couple other ideas we had. I'll make those available as well. Mark
