Whaddya think about it, guys?
Like it or hate it?
I personally don't care much for it...
Do you know if there are plans to eliminate it...?

Yes please, a recorded example would be great.

was bounced back.

The aliasing is evident only in the high register, and with those
waveforms that have a lot of overtones. Otherwise, this thing is
whisper-quiet! I particularly LOVE the sawtooth from the modulating
oscillator in the bass register, as it makes for a really fat
(not "phatt", guys, pleeze!!) bass sound, partially beacuse of the
lopass gates (sweet!), but playing a high-pitch lead with it does
bring about digital grunge. I guess it's not an issue for percussive,
acoustic-sounding patches (this thing excells at those!!) but this
certainly is not a synth to record the soundtrack of Meg Ryan's next
movie ;-P

As for sound samples: I'm computer illiterate. Besides, mp3's can be
completely misleading (same reason Don Buchla has refrained from
posting sound samples on his site!).

If any of you guys can come up with good-quality sound samples, then
go for it!!

But isn't the whole premise of this oscillator module to make great
weird fm sounds? Aliasing would really kill the experience for me.

Anything would be nice, even if it isn't good. There's enough room
in the file section here to post a few decent demos in iTunes
lossless format.

I may be waiting a long time, though.

It's really hard to find ANY examples of Buchlas on the web. Believe
me, I've been searching and keep coming up empty handed. I realize the
200e is just now getting out, but it sure would be nice to hear this
beast in action.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
