Convert different from HP48

Convert different from HP48

2008-06-21 by Ron Little

I use the convert from unit to unit, (like temperature), a lot on my
HP48, so I tried to do the same on the 50g. I don't understand and
the book does not give a good example.

I tried to convert F to C by the following:
32(units-temperature-F)enter
  (units-temperature-C) enter
Then I've tried several things:
1)Left arrow-ans
2)Left arrow-convert

Can someone steer me in the right direction? So far I like the 48
better but I'll keep an open mind.
Thanks,
Ron

Turn on RPN and turn on soft menus ( MODE - F1(FLAGS) - 117 - CHK )

Then it will behave correctly.

And turn on approximate mode. . .

If you haven't yet read the "20 things" for the 49G you might want to
look at it. Its old now as I wrote it my junior (senior?) year in
high school, but people still find it useful.
