68332 clock speed

68332 clock speed

2003-09-12 by Dong Cho

Hello !

I have been using 68332 whose max speed at 20 mhz.
I saw a few e-mails saying 68332 run at 25 mhz now.
I can't verify this. Is there any datasheet to verify this ?

Do I have to get a special version ?

I ran into thsi problem.
In My application, FPGA interface with 68332 clock.

Due to nature of asynchronous between microprocessor and internal logic
inside FPGA,
I was using DCM to multiply 68332 clock and use this(x2 speed) inside FPGA.

For SPARTAN-IIE, this was not a problem, but Vertex-2, the minimum input
freq
to DCM is 24 mhz.

If I can find 68332 running at 25 mhz, this will solve my problem.

Please help.

/Dong

Regards,

Dong,

Yes, the 68332 is available as a 25MHz part. It definately exists because
I'm using a lot of them.

of course you have to buy the faster speed parts. see Motorola's web site for orderable parts that include:
MC68332ACFC25
MC68332ACPV25
MC68332AVFC25
MC68332AVPV25
MC68332GCFC25
MC68332GCPV25
MC68332GVFC25
