I'm far from being any kind of Mellotron expert (Moody Blues anybody?) 
but, there is a VSTi called M-Tron which is reputed to be a fair 
Mellotron knock-off. I've not yet tried it myself. If you use a VST 
capable MIDI/Audio sequencer you might want to check it out:
