You know, I straight up asked the Roland rep at the NAMM show, "Is this real virtual analog, or sampled waveforms?" His answer wasn't very clear. He did say that there were sampled waveforms in the SH-32, but he was talking about the drum sounds. Then he did some pitch about the "wave acceleration" thing which supposedly allowed the unit to have such a high polyphony. So I really don't know...I'm guessing this "wave acceleration" thing is a hybrid of samples and VA technology...
