From your two problem reports I'd hazard a guess that your MIDI
Interface is suspect :-/ What type of MIDI Interface are you using?

FWIW, AN1x SysEx data is sizable and the AN1x can be overrun
when receiving a bulk dump. This is not uncommon but the fact
that you're having such difficulties so frequently might indicate a
problem with your MIDI Interface.

I'd suggest you try sending a 1/3 of a voice set at a time, i.e.,
voices 1-32, then 33-64,etc., simply to determine whether they'll
tranfer reliably. Also, many soundsets - user sound sets,
specifically - normally contain fewer voices then the Yamaha
voice sets. Since there is less data to transfer it stand to reason
there would be fewer overrun errors. Perhaps you should try a
few along the same lines - to determine how prone your MIDI
Interface is to bottlenecking.

It's normal...and it sounds as though you're using the program
correctly based on the fact that the transfer is occuring.

Hope this helps,
