Sayer, "Emulating"- that's exactly it!- I think this is one thing that I hate the most in a lot of hardware stuff (as well as the sound- and yes we are all entitled to our own opinions ! :-))- The Nord Micro/Modular is about the only hardware synth I know of where you can break out of that mold. I think the virus would me more exciting if you could program it in a similar fashion. I borrowed a virus for 2 weeks (my speakers are Alesis Monitor One's btw)- Yes it can 'emulate' a minimoog- but then can most synths these days! I just couldn't get on with it..........Ahhh- My mate Justin (who runs the Topica Nord Modular list- oh i'm such a name dropper hehehe!) gave me this link- this is a very cool synth indeed- especially if you are a fan of the SIDstation! http://www.droid.dk/ Definately worth a listen- a sort of virtual EMS VCS3 (My all-time favourite synth!)
