I haven't yet had the need for checking the battery inside my AN1x, but if it's really soldered in battery, I probably personally would solder/mod battery holder in place after looking which kind of battery it requires. Those holders shouldn't cost much if you look for electronics shop. Afterwards it would be just swapping the battery without need of soldering.
