> I've tried to create a Mellotron Flute voice Heh. Reminds me of hacking away on my first synth, a Kawai K1-II. An "additive synthesis" rompler. You could stuff up to 4 waves from the 128 in the wavetable (about 1/3rd were entirely useless) into a patch and then put an envelope on each one. No filter section whatsoever. Talk about trying to get blood out of a turnip... But I did manage to create a lively emulation of a car engine starter cranking and then the vrooom of it pulling away. Must have taken me 8 hours to build the patch... but there was this elating sense of success when I used it to lead off a song at a live gig. Don't get me wrong, Magnus, I admire your efforts. I suppose what I'm saying is that I've gotten lazy in my old age and would rather use my A3000 sampler to play Mellotron flutes when I need them. :.> Ed Edwards Leader: Ezekiel's Wheel Retro-Progressive Rock http://www.ezekielswheel.com http://www.untiedmusic.com/ezekiel http://www.headholemines.blogspot.com ...........
