Re: An1x and PLG150AN

2005-09-24 by uralmoto2001

I have PLG150AN(and DX) boards in my S80. An1x patchbanks in files
here load to the PLG userbank with no problem- just use either an1x
edit or the AN expert editor which comes with the AN board. Check the
an1x editors' helpfile (file types and voice data) for exact
differences between the two, and conversions that take place when
transferring voices. I have many an1x patchbanks stored on S80s'
smartmedia card; only takes a few seconds to load a bank from card to
PLG board. The AN board is fixed at scene 1 and on-board efx are
limited to amp sim and eq. It's easy to route AN voices thru the
hosts' efx though, and doing Host Synth/AN splits and layers no
problem. The S80 has 5 assignable knobs (and exp ped input) that I use
for real-time AN control. You might find the PLGs' extra goodies
useful (esp. multi-saw wave and osc X-Mod). If you have an empty PLG
slot in your Motif, go for
it! --
