This type of emulation is best suited to ROMplers and Samplers - either hardware or software. You might want to check out SampleTank Free or Plugsound free if money is tight, otherwise a Roland JV/XV series box can be had for a song on eBay. That said, check the Files section here at Yahoo! Groups and navigate to the Tips & Tricks directory where you will find a past 'how to' article "How To Program Synth Strings" which might point you in the right direction. HTH Jon
