Hello,

i will get a second AN1X this weekend and want to drill inside
on that empty top right panel a doepfer pocket controller.
I have tons of ideas of what to control with but
i also like to have some feedback here from the Old an1xers

what are in your opinion the 24 [16 (doepfer) + 8 (an1x itself)]
most useful midiCCs 0-127 parameters to control in real time ?

if i can find the space inside i am also intrigued by the
idea to put a joystick (or TWO !) under the wheels

to cross control VCF Cutoff/Resonance in 2 axis
or also Rev/Delay must be nice.
What other 2 parameters combo would u suggest ?
Would u put a spring loaded JS or a free running one ?

.. Any other idea or feedback or brainstorming are very welcome

I'd keep the parameters that you need to see on the LCD left to the normal 8 AN1x knobs.

You could have all the filter and filter mod parameters eg filter type, cutoff, resonance, HPF, env amount, mod amount, vel mod and keyrack on the first 8 knobs and the two ASDR's on the rest. 

Good luck with the drilling, please post some pictures if it looks cool. ;-)

Hello Toni !
i have an AN1X but also a Red Sound Elevata virtual analog expander 
hooked to the AN1X* . The Red Sound has an assignable joystick like all 
Red Sound synths and groove boxes . I use to assign one axis to the 
cutoff frequency and the other to the resonance. This can be performed 
on the AN1X with the ribbon pad ... But if you put a joystick without 
any spring it could be more interesting than a spring loaded one: to 
keep any cutoff-resonance combination when you stop waving the joystick. 
A good idea used on the Red Sound where the joystick "return to zero" 
can be turned off by a pushbutton .

*They sound very different and the combination can give interesting 
sounds . But there is a main bug on the Red Sound software : you can 
filter a lot of MIDI incoming data except one, "program change" .... shit !
