I truely think an MC-303 sounds and plays like crap, it really *is* just the marketing
scheme that makes it so popular. kimdof like "oh wauw, that box looks cool, i gotta have
one too" or "wow.. 303.. gotta have one too"

Hey! Don't flame my first piece of gear! :)
I'm still using it as a drumcomputer (midi-controlled). The drum-kits are
quite decent and usable. I admit that most of the instruments (=samples)
are a bit cheesy, but some of them are also usable (esp. some pads and
strings).

Greets,
Roland
(Yeah! I'm proud of my name! :-)

Hi,
Offcourse it sounds crap.. it's like 4/5/6 years old..I've got one and
practically only use the drumkits (which are ok). The mc-505 is better
though, 'cause it uses the engine/sounds of the JV-series..
I understand that people won't call this innovative gear, but we must
remember that it is the artist who can innovative and not the gear itselve..

Hey, Herbie Hancock was seen a couple years ago sporting an AN1x atop his Fender
Rhodes during the Headhunters reunion shows...

In this sense it is interesting to know, that Roland recently made a
new (dj?)effectunit, and guess what´s the name
is....yup....EF303...
