Before i had any real synths i used to run some cheap-ass synth thru a zoom
505 guitar effects processor with decent results....the guy i am working with
right now (end.user.) is doing the same for this show we have coming up at
this big industrial festival (which was in side-line magazine for all you
rivet kids out there :-) take that euro trash [haha, that was way over the
line, and *purely* joking so don't take offence])....

(cheap?)guitar effects pedals big time or something along that
line...anyway it's off the subject matter and not something anyone hasn't
 done or thought of anyway...

I thought about this when Jon told me about the AN1x FX section (in
comparision to those found in the Z1) and its lack of sync capabilities...I
wrote him something like this: "some cool bands made some great tunes w/
older synths that doesn't have neither fx or LFO's sync"...I mean, it's cool
but not that important feature to make me decide or not wich synth I would
buy.
BTW, I almost bought an old demaged Juno106 (w/ great cosmetic conservation)
for less then $150, but its problem was to weird..:-)
