Hi Guys, I can't get any sound nor MIDI when I hit the lowest C. Do you have any idea if it is a DIY job to fix? Thank you in advance :-) Henrik Copenhagen

Hi Henrik, could be dirt under the trigger of the key. Had similar problems. You could try to open the An1x and remove the dirt, it works for me. It is not very difficult, but there are many screws to remove (30?). Good luck Mario -----Urspr\ufffdngliche Nachricht----- Von: AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com [mailto:AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com]Im Auftrag von fugmann Gesendet: Sonntag, 31. You can clean it by yourself, or even replace it if necessary if you have some basic electronics DIYer experience. Be careful with the lot of screws in the plastic case and with the keyboard connectors. During the operation you can check the small diode (1N 4148 style) wired to the key contact, i don't think it is the cause of your problem but who knows ? Most diode failures are short circuits, not open circuit... Cheers. J.F.

Hi JF: If you have a moment, please could you detail how to do this - I have the same problem with the bottom C. You make it sound fairly straightforward, so would appreciate any tips. Many thanks in advance, Andy a.k.a. "fallingman"

Hi, It is actually very simple to fix. Remove all the screws (I think there are 32) on the backside. Gently lift away the black back cover. Please take a look at the attached PDF-document. 1) Gently unplug the 3 connectors, marked with red circles. 2) Remove the little print board 3) Unfasten the larger print board and remove it 4) Now you can see all the connectors from the keys. Use a cotton bud or similar to clean. 5) Gently remove all other dust before assembly I hope that it works - it takes only half an hour. Please let me know how it went. Best regards Henrik :-) Copenhagen Fra: Andy Funnell <andy.funnell@...> >Til: AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com >Sendt: 16:58 fredag den 16. september 2011 >Emne: Re: [AN1x] Lowest C is silent on my AN1x > > > > > > >Hi JF: > >If you have a moment, please could you detail how to do this - I have the same problem with the bottom C. > >You make it sound fairly straightforward, so would appreciate any tips. > >Many thanks in advance, > >Andy > >a.k.a. Hi ! Sorry for the delay, but i see someone else has answered, thanks Henrik. I can't say better... You can use alcohol to clean the contacts with the cotton tip, or a special contact cleaner sold in electronics DIY shops. Don't use anything else, no thinner, benzin or trichlorethylene for ex. Take care of the screws, the case is mostly plastic. Cheers! J.F. Henrik Fugmann a crit :
