I've been told that kids in Europe have to learn to play the accordian. Is
this true? If so, then that may be why so many people buy synthesizers
there.

Just an innocent, honest question.

No Accordion is an out of fashion instrument in germany. There are still some Akkordeon-groups in germany but it's not common to learn it.

Simple answer: no.

Europe is a collection of somewhat like 50 or 60 states. In cases like these
it's impossible to talk about 'Europe' as a whole, because it isn't. In some
ways yes, in other ways no. For instance, in France you can't have a
vasectomy because it is willing mutilation.

Yeah,

And here in Holland we have special wooden shoes made by Nike(tm) and every
day a folklore dance-event in the Redlight-district where everybody is getting
high on pot.
Amsterdam? Isn't that the capital of Danmark?

I guess you wouldn't like it if I say that the average American has the same
IQ of a Jerry Springer guest and looks like Ronald McDonald?
Oh yes..we *DO* have TV over here in Europe! :)

It's nothing personal Ed, but I absolutly hate the ignorance some americans
have.

Roland

As an American, I'm very offended by that. We do not look like Ronald
McDonald. I'll have to tell you that here in the real America, everyone
wears cowboy hats, drives in Cadillacs and eat hamburgers every day. Oh
yeah, and everyone owns a gun. Yeee-haw! <bang bang>

Of course you have TVs in Europe...how else are they gonna show those
"Mentos" commercials? :)

I agree, but for different reasons. But that's another story...
