the an1x sequencer is a little tough to use, but if you write out the notes you want on
paper it can be a little easier. the an1x isnt good for trying to make random sequences
that sound good. the 8 control knobs represent steps 1-16. you can plot what notes to
play, how hard they play(velocity), and how long(gate time). i find the sequencer useful
when ihave a good riff in my head, and dont want to play it by hand, or it is too complex
or difficult to play by hand...i am not the best pianist. basicaly all your doing is plotting
points on a graph. here those points are notes...i dont have alot time right now to go step
by step...these are just some things to keep in mind while programming you an1x. peace
out.

Hello,

well i hope u have access to a pc or a mac .. and why dont u use
AN1X edit from Gary .. ?
to edit sequences from the panel is a suicide indeed ..

AN1X edit is such a lovely tool
u can edit sequances in an easy way
note by note step by step .. and
see what u do in real time

Hey, I agree with Toni - try using AN1xEdit. The interface makes sense and
once you learn how to use it the time to program a sequence will be seconds
rather than the multiple minutes necessary by using the knobs on the synth.

Try experimenting with the notes in the sequence - like an odd time
signature or some trills.  Think beyond the average TB-303 sequence.  ;-}

Cheers!

I've never even used the sequencer on the 101 i thought it would be too dificult. I might have a play with it now.

have a nice day

tom

My SH-101 has one, and it’s soooo easy – press ‘Load’, play
sixteen notes (+/- rests), then press ’Play’ - and you
instantly have a bubbling bass monster
