Yes, at least on the power supply it sounds exactly like mine.
I suspect your friend is not as precise as you are and in his mind any power supply not built-in to the unit is called a wall-wart. I understand from your writing that you correctly make the distinction that it has actually got a plug instead of having to plug it ON the wall.
Just a guess...
