My Falcon HD died as well. However, the HD is a standard LapTop HD, so you could try opening it up, and replacing the HD with a new one. You won't need much space...1 G will even do :-) However, I have just not got around to replacing mine yet..so I just use discs, as the OS is inside and not dependant on a file system like mac or Windows..so I just have all my apps on 1.4 Discs, and run 'em from disc with no issues.
