Help - My falcon died

Help - My falcon died

2006-07-22 by Anthony M. Trujillo

I started up my falcon recently, and it looks as if my hard drive is dead.

Anyone know how to fix this?

If it was a PC, I wouldn't have an issue, but i know little about the
inner workings of atari.

My Falcon HD died as well. However, the HD is a standard LapTop HD, so
you could try opening it up, and replacing the HD with a new one. You
won't need much space...1 G will even do :-)

However, I have just not got around to replacing mine yet..so I just
use discs, as the OS is inside and not dependant on a file system like
mac or Windows..so I just have all my apps on 1.4 Discs, and run 'em
from disc with no issues.
