hello atari people, blimmy, puting an harddrive onto an atari is an
expensive carry on,asuming you can find someone who can do
it.Unfortuneatly the chap who you put me onto tim can nolonger get
his hands on the dma adapters, which leaves paying 60quid for an
internal ide port been hardwired inside by a barry at an atari
place. Then via the email came this chap advertising stuff to sell,to
which I put a request in for any harddrive stuff.Does this request,if
it has been posted from here,go back to here?I am pritty new to this
messaging game so I dont know.
I am beginning to think that It might be better running atari
software via amulation on a pc,The old standard pentiums are going
for a song on ebay, anyone had experiance on this front?
Infact I am feeling a bit of a fruad, all my stuff is mainly
amigas, and a pc,will atari software runing on a pc give me any
credability amongst you atari folk?
The making money posts have been interesting, especially the
prostitution one,on the grand scale of thing I guess we are pritty
lucky people to be able to make our pops and squeeks via all those
impressive flashing lights and gismose, even if some of us(me)have to
eat porridge to pay for it all,at least me are eating, and at the end
of the day, this music addiction isnt one that kills us,or causes harm
to anyone...hay...we are really nice people, who needs lots of
money?.....ching ching..my little finger sycmbals are going...oy..get
off...thats my orange robe!

Hi! Sorry to hear you are having hard times with the hard drive:-) Don't
know what to say. Regarding the list: this particular list ( the Atari-MIDI
archives...however I am copying Atari-MIDI on this mail.) is basically for
storing files and the messages are just "notifications" that a file has been
uploaded. To get into the beef of the matter, you need to send your mail to

atari-midi@yahoogroups.com

This is the main Atari-MIDI forum, while this group ( the Atari-MIDI
Archives)is just for "notification" of uploads. Unfortuneatly, our archives
are getting pretty full at the moment! :-)

YES...there are many users who do not have real Atari's but use Steem and
run the more "unusual" left handed Atari apps that you would be hard pressed
to find on the PC format. There are some members who use Steem running KCS
as thier main sequencer and use Hubbies loopback to control softsynths on
the same PC!

However, a real Atari can still be useful in the studio, even DISC only
stuff (no Hard drive) as there are lots of programs that run fine by disc.

well...it would be nice to make a little money with our stuff...but looks
like we have to find our own paths on how to do it!
