However, if you disable the SPI then you have done so permanently if all
that you have is an AVR ISP or ISPII.  You'll need a STK500 and a
soldering iron to get it back.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
