Just copy your CodeVision manual, convert to a pdf file, and send it to the poor kid...all at your own expense...for software you've bought yourself. He can't afford to buy the software. How can he afford a manual? Oh heck, it's Christmas. Maybe the folks over at CodeVision will give him a manual.
