I have not tried this yet, but I have the USB board - mySmartUSB, not a printer parallel port version (didn't know there was one). The document is at: http://www.myavr.info/download/techb_mysmartusb.pdf
see page 11 for details for using it with AVR studio. A such you select a virtual COM port, as is the usual way with USB.
