Thanks - when I decided to take the plunge and learn to use AVRs, I
decided to go with ASM because of the tight control over timing and
such it gives me; also, because I'm an old fart that learned x86 asm
back in the day and always kinda missed playing with it <grin>.  Sorry
about the code being hard to read, it's commented for the most part
for *my* use; originally, I didn't plan on releasing it to "the wild"
- but a friend convinced me that I should, so I just threw everything
together and posted it.  In retrospect, I wish I had taken more time
to "pretty it up" - I've learned a huge amount from studying other's
code, and would like to return the favor.
