Thanks - when I decided to take the plunge and learn to use AVRs, I
decided to go with ASM because of the tight control over timing and
such it gives me; also, because I'm an old fart that learned x86 asm
back in the day and always kinda missed playing with it <grin>. Sorry
about the code being hard to read, it's commented for the most part
for *my* use; originally, I didn't plan on releasing it to "the wild"
- but a friend convinced me that I should, so I just threw everything
together and posted it. In retrospect, I wish I had taken more time
to "pretty it up" - I've learned a huge amount from studying other's
code, and would like to return the favor.

That looks very nice, WOW.
I wish it was NOT in asm, as I have no desire to go back to that... and that makes it hard for me to read, but WOW, great work!

I'm glad you did (release it)!
I don't know if it's hard to read, I just don't want to read asm :-( ... if I have a choice,it takes me too long,
but you do get what you were looking for (timing/control) so often there's no choice.

Far from me to criticize your choice.

Thanks again.

Sure John, poetic, inspiring... etc. - Just like Vogon poetry ;-)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vogon

But then - I started out with Moto 680x ASM and also FORTH (the 'write only'
language ;-)!

But - if I am not mistaken, you, yourself has finally succumbed to the 'dark
side' and joined us in the 'C' universe!

Cheers and best wishes for 2009 to you and All AVR Chatters and AVR Freaks -
yes I know you lurk here as well!

How emotional, first C v ASM war for the year. :-)

But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.....

And yes I have done my first (/last??) C project to
find out first hand how painful C debugging can be.

No succumbed to the dark side, just visiting.
