RE: [AVR-Chat] cheap source for lcd bezel

2009-12-21 by Steve Hodge

I've used them too. The results are great but their software could do with
some improvement. It is in fact pretty frustrating until you learn the key
is to always work with the "object properties" window. Steve

Hi Jeff,

I have found the following to be great for creating some excellent home brew
front panels and avoid having to find a bezel. I try to find a suitable box
first and then create the panels with their software. The final results look
very professional, albeit at a slightly higher price than your simple bezel.

www.frontpanelexpress.com

You can design your panel and then click on the costs button and see how
much it will be.

Regards
Dave.

Just about every AVR project I make has a LCD 2x16 or 4x20.

Finding cheap LCD is easy. Finding cheap bezel to put over the LCD, so it
looks nice in the home-brew hacked box, that seems hard. I can't follow a $6
LCD with a $4 trim bezel. That makes no sense to me.

Does anyone have a source for cheap bezels?

Thanks!

Jeff
