I am looking into using the AT32UC3C2128 to build a CAN-to-CAN message bridge (store-and-forward) because it contains two integrated CAN controllers as well as USB & Ethernet interfaces (possible CAN-to-USB bridge in addition to CAN-to-CAN). I know that there are commercial units available but the ones I have found are priced too high for a hobby effort. So far I have only developed for the ATMega series. I need to know if I have the tools to support this effort. I currently use: - Atmel Studio 6.1 which lists the AT32UC3C2128 and shows a "toolchain" of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Atmel\Atmel Toolchain\AVR32 GCC\Native\3.4.2.1002\avr32-gnu-toolchain\bin" - JTAG Mk II for JTAG programming and debugging. Atmel website lists the AT32UC3C2128 as a supported device. Am I ok to proceed? As an ATMega1284P developer is there something I should know before I attempt to use the AT32... ? Did I miss an 8-bit AVR that supports two CAN interfaces?
