I realise now that the Arduino has a bootloader rather than an OS.
I have used CodevisionAVR in the past and notice that the latest version even has an option for uploading to Arduino boards.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
