I built one. It works. Took a couple of hours to lay out and cut a simple 
pcb and program a spare m163 laying around.
   Is it better then brand name jtag-ice ? Not really. but it is an awful 
lot cheaper.

  Unless you are counting every penny (substitute appropriate small 
denomination coin) It might be better to just get one from olimex.

  Now if somebody would come up with a dirt cheap one wire debug. I really 
want another way to debug mega8s (mega88).
