Rajesh, Check out the IS471F: http://www.junun.org/MarkIII/datasheets/IS471F.pdf It is an optical solution, but it is not that sensitive to ambient light because the light send is modulated and the light received is filtered by the IS471F. The circuit is very simple: you only need to add an IR-LED, see datasheet. A lot of links (circuits) can be found for this component. I shrunk a piece of heat shrink tube around the LED to prohibit light leaking from the LED directly to the IS741F.
