I think the schematic has to do with the "serial programmer" thread. My suggestion is, but i'm only a short-term member so who cares, not to send the "new file" notice at all(there's a checkbox), but instead send a link in a "normal" message. This also allows to ignore files that are part of a thread which one has no interest in reading because the link is in a message with proper subject and not just "new file uploaded". At least the description should make sense if the "new file" notice is sent. But hey, that just what i think would be best for all, nobody will stick to it because nobody never cares about file posting rules or "good manners". After all we are not stupid, we can deal with it. If i don't know what the schematic does or where it belongs to i'll just ignore it, i don't see much problem with that. It is only in the interest of the poster to provide the file in a comfortable way if he wants it seen. If he doesn't particularly care about that, well, then i don't care seeing it. I usually ignore new file uploaded messages alltogether, if the contents are interesting there are always proper posts referring to it. You can try that... ST
