I am not at this time doing any business with anyone in Australia, though I may be in the near future. I doubt the meaning of 'Pty" will have any impact on my business transactions, since they'll be restricted to purchasing off-the-shelf products for cash payment. *grin* Actually, vis-a-vis that, What can any of our Australian compatriots tell me about FutureLEC? They are the english language vendors for the ETT AVR products, and I am considering (once funds become available) purchasing some from them. Any positive or negative experiences anyone thinks I ought to know about? My experience wiuth the so far is mixed. On the one hand, they *DID* finally send me an English language documentation CD for the ETT development board I purchased via eBay from somone IN Thailand. I don't know if I had room for complain or not. The auction SAID there was a software/documentation CD included, and indeed there was. They didn';t happen to mention that the CD contained files exclusively in Thia, however. *sad grin* In any case, someone pointed FutureLEC out to me, and I emailed them. It took four emails, over a period of three months, to get a response from them Once they responded, they were highly cooperative and even friendly (and, I should add, very prompt about mailing the CD). I suppose my emails could have gotten lost, to be fair. I didn't know until after I received the CD in the mail that they are an Aussie company. I was undere the impression that they were in the US or Canada, for some strange reason. For anyone not familair with them, their URL is www.futurelec.com. They carry a wide range of electronics components and especially micrcontroller support products, with fairly broad support for AVR in particular (they also heavily supoport PIC...they know how to cover the bases). Their pricing seems to be very reasonable, for the products they are offering, so I am inclined to do business with them, despite the higher cost of shipping, and the additional shipping delays engendered by having to wait for packages to arrive from "Down Under."
