It might be appropriate to define your requirements as to what you need.
Then head over to www.atmel.com to find an AVR that meets your requirements,
there are many with 8 I/O and up.

Or if you would rather ... you put up your needs here as to what your are
going to do with it and the other details, you will probably get lots of
help picking the right AVR for you right here. There are some very bright
folks listening.

After pinning down what you need you can go to www.digikey.com (or
www.findchips.com ) and see what the prices are.
