  Perhaps, but there are a few AVRs that support USB.  But then again,
what would be large and complex about USB?   Granted, the suppoort on a
host for USB could get comoplex, since it is supposed to correctly
idnetify and configure itself for whatever is plugged into it.

  But a USB peripheral is just a fancy serial communications device.
And most of that "fanciness" is in the hardware.
