AVR-Chat

I've been using a USB/Serial converter bought from Tiger Direct for over 
a year, Richard, and had no problems.  I think I bought the cheapest one 
they had because I wasn't certain it would work.  This one is a Sabrent 
if that helps...something like 5 or 10 bucks if I remember correctly.  
It's primarily used with an ISP module, but it also works well with the 
STK500 I have.

If you don't want to go that route, I also have an EasyAVR development 
board from Mikroelectronika.  The board is quite nice but the 
documentation sucks and once they get your money they don't seem to want 
to even answer an inquiry about it.  So if you want to go that route it 
might be worth while, too.  I like the fact that I can test all the I/O 
with it and for that one reason it's worth the aggravation, at least to me.
