ROFL!!!!  Ahh, its the simple things that crack me up :)  
 
Roy ligthten up, Ted was fishing with live bait without a licence!!  Seems
his fish caught not only the hook, line and sinker, but the reel, fisherman,
and boat all in one go !  ;)  
 
Way to go Ted !!!

Oh, and back on topic : YES, there is LAW's downunder that we have to vote.
NFI about downyonder! 
downunderversion: Every person's name is at local district polling booths,
printed and bound in a large folder/register and has about ~150 names per A4
page. when you enter the polling centers your name gets marked of very
carefully vith ruler and pen. Only then do you get your ballot papers...
Every book/register then would need top be comparred and details known of
who voted at what poll, so they dont recieve a fine... I dare say its 'every
one gets a fine mentality' until they get marked off, and not the other way
around... 
 
oh, and guys/gals, lets not confuse those that are 'upside down' with our
Aussie humour, we really should drop in the odd tag or two <g,d,r><flame></>
etc oh and a few smileys wouldn't hurt  ;)
 
Oh, and yes in all seriousness, we need a licence to go fishing nowadays
too, about $10 or so I'm told at your local bait shop... !!!!

As the writer of this original message, and a resident of the Southern
United Sates of America, I can assure you that there is a pretty fer
difference between the expression "down yonder" and the expression "down
under" to which you apparently take offense.

As for your resentment, perhaps one might also remind you that unless you
are a resident of these United States of America you might just keep your
opinions to yourself unless you would like to come here and participate as a
citizen.  Until the day comes that you have fought for this nation, perhaps
to see friends and family members die for it and all it stands for, you
really ought to mind your own business.  And yes, I have.

As for the direction in which your head points, I suspect that it may be
pointing upwards toward the sky but the question remains...what obstacles
are in the way of the sun shining on your face and what odors waft across
your nostrils due to its physical location?
