After thoughts If you are wanting to preserve something like the last reading using a SAVE pushbutton. Thats doing it, the pain-in-the-ass, manually way. You could use a sensor that senses immediatelly when then input voltage fails and triggers a interrupt routine. Have a capacitor store enough power to run the micro for a few seconds while the loss- of-power routine makes the saves. If you wanted you could still have the SAVE SW.
