Programming Attiny13 SOIC in quantity?

Hi Folks,

What is the collective wisdom of the best way to program the ATtiny13
chips (surface mount package) in a semi-production application?  It
looks like we'll be producing 250 to 500 units.  And if things go as
planned (but then again how often do they go as planned) it might be a
whole lot more.
