Hmmmm, I thought I replied but I don't see my message so here it goes again :-) However this message is different; _now_ I have the solution. John, you hit the nail on the head. That lame-ass message was trying to tell me the build was not successful (as you said). When I switched from the Message window to the Build window, I found a message complaining of a #if without a corresponding #endif. I fixed that and everything is fine again (and no need to upgrade to a later version of AVR Studio, etc.). So, long story short, a compiler error (or in this case, a preprocessor error) can give an inscrutable diagnostic. But then, this is nothing new :-) -- Joe --- In AVR-Chat@yahoogroups.com, John Samperi <samperi@...> wrote: > > At 11:09 PM 13/05/2007, you wrote: > >gcc plug-in: Error: Object file not found on expected location > >C:\AVR\Projects\Thermostat\default\Thermostat.elf > > That seems to tell you that the build was not successfull as the > cannot be found, I'm not very good with GCC however :-( > > Make sure that you have the latest version of winavr if you use > studio 4.13 BUT the older version with studio 4.12. > > > Regards > > John Samperi
