  I swapped out the 8515 for thr ATmega16L that shipped with the 
STK-500.  I plugged it into socket 3100A3, per the User Guide.   I try 
to program it with the switches&leds code, but I am still getting that 
damnable box xomplaining about possible clock speed problems. It also 
recommends reading help, but I don't seem to HAVE help. )-:   I am 
re-downloading AVRStuio 4.12, going to reinstall it and see if that 
helps some
