AVR-Chat

OK.  I got a 40 pin universal ZIF soldered into my Dragon this 
afternoon.   I plug an ATtiny25 into the socket in pins 1-8, and fire up 
AVRStudio.   I cannot write to or read the ATtiny25 in the socket.   
What am I doing wrong? (No manuals come with the dragon )-: )
