You may be able to recover it, but it does depend on what measures were put
in place. If a router is configured with "no service password−recovery",
this disables all access to the ROMMON. To fix the router, you must get a
new Cisco IOS software image on a Flash single in−line memory module - a lot
more than $100!

Hi all,

This is way OT, but I am pulling my hair out here.

I have a Cisco 2503 ISDN Router in for service, but I can not test it
fully as no one knows the password for the EXEC mode :o(

Does anyone know how to blat the config so I can start from scratch ? I
have searched Cisco but no luck (they will probably say to return it and
they will default it for some nominal fee (like $100 lol)

Regards,

Kat.

Thanks to Phillip, James and Quentin.

The no service password-recovery option was not set :o)

And I have now removed all passwords :o)

Now I can go to the customers site and high jack their NT1 ;o) and see if this thing works (their old ISDN router is A a useless pile of crap, B dying and C running off an AT power supply as lightning took out the original supply)

If I can get it running tomorrow they will be happy, if I can't I have a toy lol (hmmmm wonder what I could make it do ;o)

Hey in TEST mode I can flash the OK led :o|

Regards,

Kat.
