Did this chat group die?

I haven't seen a chnage in here for several days now.
Is this group still alive?

Perhaps you would be well served by getting an introductory book like
the one produced by Smiley Micros. Alternately, the tutorial section
at AVR Freaks may be useful. A search using either of those terms
should lead you to the right places.

A third alternative is to begin with a microcontroller that is
programmable in Basic via the serial port and go forward from there.

I'm busy trying to make an LCD come alive.

I'm using a PIC anyway.

Pretty much like any other micro. Which ones are you familiar with?

Iv done a small bit with Pics, but gave up because i really dont like
assembly. The main reason i decided to learn about avrs instead is because
their prorammable in C. and i just happen to know C.
I just want to get somthing printed out or a book that will give me the
rudiments. Besides, im only after getting the cable for my "my Avr"
development board. So i must start into that when i get a chance now. I just
have to finish a project im workin on.

Thanks don for your input.
And thanks everyone!
Regards.

Who says you can't program PICs in C? Microchip, CCS, and Hitech
each make a C compiler for PICs.
